Many students want to give a impetus to their applications for MS or PhD in the US by working with a professor at a good research lab - for example in India there are the IITs and IISc and in places like China there is the Tsinghua University and in the US - there are so many good schools. I just received an email from Connie Chan (if you are stanford CS - u her know all too well!) - who is part of the Stanford Computer Forum - basically our career maker - who interacts and setups up company info sessions. And what surprised me was the company which was holding info sessions is Infosys! Its amazing that an Indian company is hiring right from the intellectual heartland of the US of A. And well TCS does some hiring from Stanford CS as well, but thats mostly from the North America office. But Infosys is much more aggressive and recruits directly for its Bangalore office.
